. Down where wild violets dance To easterly breezes And purple Irises erect, stiff, and chilled See The dog walker shiver Wishing for an added layer To top the corduroy pants still out Even though spring green Is everywhere.

Thank you, Tom. No, a photo from the internet, but that rat terrier looks just like our little rat terrier. She is a sweetie. My daughters are probably older than the lady in the photo. We are all considered senior citizens now, provided that 55 is considered a senior. Sara K

How beautiful is this dear sara, so gorgeous, and the way youve arranged your lines is so creative too, so many lines stood out for me, especially “ Down where wild violets dance To easterly breezes And purple Irises erect, stiff, and chilled“ love that! loved the structure of this poem--it was effective...like I was 'walking' through your words. This time of year, one doesn't really know what to wear....so many times lately I wished I'd put on an extra layer. Definitely still wearing corduroy pants :-) Enjoy your day, Sara
