Luke 19: 38-40
Swift creek's rock sing out with praise Thanking God for all the beauty He has made Gray rocks weathered by water over time embraced Secrets whispered with each flow or trickle so graced Sounds from all of nature, such a gentle lullaby Spring's awakening against the sometimes gray sky Such a tranquil scene where beauty abounds Oh! The symphony of nature's elements harmoniously found What do the gray wet rocks say When humankind forgets to pray and praise Do they guggle, sing "Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow" Or "Lord Jesus, Come Quickly" to save man from each blow Do the rocks listen for the doves in spring At night when all is peaceful and quiet Enjoy the Whip-poor-will melodious tunes In war zones, what happens to the birds and flowers God help us as we this earth each day devour Destroying our planet for human power What do the rocks say as we shake their core Please, God, remove us we don't want to live here anymore

Sara, yes the earth is crying out and we should be listening and making adjustments. I think you have this pegged...it is in the pursuit of human power that trouble is occurring, and it doesn't seem to be getting better. Hard to watch it.

Duke, I think so as well the part of human power and control. Man isn't in controls even though he might think he is. Thanks for the visit. Sara K

He answered, “I tell you, if they keep silent, the very stones will cry out!” (Luke 19:40)

The beautiful earth is consistently exploited by man and it becomes unlivable. Even the rocks wish to move away to a better place. In war zones, not only man suffers but the birds and beasts too. Nature's beauty is drawn in contrast with man's callous handling of the earth. A powerful and inspirational poem, dear Sara.

Yann, yes, walking in nature or sitting by a running stream is very relaxing. Sitting by a running stream is where we get negative ions which help lift our spirit. Sara K

well done, Sara K! Your imagery added impact to your message. I liked "Do the rocks listen for the doves in spring?" I especially liked the last two lines...they were impactful and gave me pause. Love your poetic style! have a great evening, Sara B.

You have eloquently depicted the serene harmony of nature and the profound interrelation of its components. The contrast between tranquil visuals and complex inquiries into human conduct is impactful and stimulating. well done Sara

Dear Sara, you artistically wrote a heartfelt ode to the beauty of nature and an excellent reflection on humanity's impact on the Earth. Your words beautifully capture nature's symphony's tranquility and the elements' deep connection. The juxtaposition of serene imagery with thought-provoking questions about human behavior is powerful and thought-provoking. Yes, we need to respect, appreciate, and protect our planet. Well Said, my friend! - Blessings, Daniel

Thank you, Daniel, for the deep thought out review of my work. God is amazing with love that we can never understand and grace that is available for all, but time will come when He has had enough. I need all the blessings I can get. Sara K
