Image result for pictures of star magnolia as the leaves begin to fill the tree in spring

In the early spring, the red sun rises A warning to sailors of storms on the horizon Cold mornings greet us with a shiver But warm afternoons embrace us with a kiss Different hues of green paint the landscape As nature awakens from its winter slumber Dogwoods bloom in shades of white and pink A delicate dance of beauty unfolding Star magnolia’s foliage once dotted with white Mostly its beauty has on the ground landed Months will pass before it again brings delight When another first spring day comes so bright The changing seasons bring a sense of renewal A reminder of the cycles of life and growth In this transition from winter to spring We find hope in the promise of new beginnings. Written March 20th, 2024....First day of spring

Inspiring spring imagery, Sara. Just the kind of promise we need at the moment when its moodiness is bringing cooler temperatures.

Yes, it is looking like it might pour rain at any moment here, so it is damp and chilly. Thanks for the kind review. Sara

Sara, I’m most impressed by this inspirational tribute to that most elegant season upon us. A philosophical work underpinned by discrete use of images. Howard

Your poem captures the beautiful essence of spring with the joy of rebirth and new beginning. I especially liked "star magnolia's foliage once dotted with white...' Outstanding imagery, Sara K. Wishing you a blessed evening, Sara B

Thank you, Sara B. I had a nice evening, but this morning is upside down. I called our grandson to come help with my husband since I can't really help him if he falls or something else. I hope this is a great Saturday for you. Sara K

Tom, we are doing okay for our age. Yes, it has been a wet winter here in Georgia. Thanks for the nice review of my work. Sara K

Your poem beautifully captures the essence of early spring, painting vivid imagery of the season's arrival and the transformative power it holds. The opening lines, "In the early spring, the red sun rises," immediately draw the reader into the scene, setting the stage for a journey through nature's awakening.

Yes, SO. That red sun rising was wonderful even though it has a meaning of bad weather is coming and it has in the form of a gray day with rain all day today. It was so nice to have a nice spring day, but lots of pollen. Sara K

I can feel the arrival of spring, and the shift in atmosphere through your well woven spring poem dear sara. So beautiful! I loved especially “ Star magnolia’s foliage once dotted with white Mostly its beauty has on the ground landed Months will pass before it again brings delight “ gorgeous, deep and well delivered. Must be getting warm now there for you? Sending you light always

Well, today has been quite cool, wet, and gray. The day I wrote the poem a lovely spring day other than the wind that was quite cool. Your comments were uplifting. Sara K
