Spring Took me By surprise Redbud blossoms Doves coo early on More species come to feed Somehow spring has subtly sprung Sunbeam shakes her yellow hair down Angled 'pon violet covered lawn Winter locked up the buds, spring held the key

We are seeing what seems like spring is here to stay. The forsythia is nearly in full bloom plus the star magnolia is in full bloom and starting to lose the first blossoms that came on it. Thanks for stopping by. Sara K

SO, I was practicing, but I liked this so I have entered it. I might come up with one that I think is better though. Your visit is encouraging. Sara K

This is lovely. Noticing your connection of red with natural transitions like spring and fall and dawn and dusk. And I can hear those subtle doves advocating well-fed peace with more feeding species. Consciousness, here, includes perception and also deeper iconic feelings of comfort and joy, power and light, universal salvation and unitarian redemption, sacred ecology and systematic mind/body theology.

Tom, you must live up north, but this morning here in the south we have clouds that look like snow clouds, but at the present time no chance since it is 43 degrees. Spring will come at its own pace. Thanks for stopping by. Sara K

absolutely a lovely poem. I especially liked 'the sun shakes her hair down.' That's an awesome image. Grateful for the signs of spring I'm seeing...I'm a bit caught of guard as well...but I'll take it. signed, "Not a winter fan." Have a great day Sara K.

Nor I, Sara B, a fan of winter nor of the heat and humidity of late summer. I guess I want to live in perfect weather all the time like Peter Pan who wanted to stay a little boy forever. I appreciate your kind review of my work. Sara K
