Thought that would get your attention---Okay, two awesome ladies. Both love life and have fun with writing. Andrea recently said she would love to be included in a publication that had just fun poems - Limeriks/Clerihews etc. Great idea!---Fun reading as opposed to dull overthought brain teasing whatevers that make us think too much---I agree. They have their place (the brainteasers) in the poetry hall of fame, but are they fun....NOT!. Yet, why can't we have a sniff (no pun) of mystery even in those snippets of ill repute! Sooooo my contribution is this Haiku /      a dribbled number/triskaidekaphobic art/ yellow snow--------------------

I love both Andrea and Jan. And what's wrong with a little risque innuendo now and then? After all, what's the point of poetry if you can't have fun?

'Tis "of the body", yes? How can one "go" wrong? All you need now is the vinegar. ;-) (Love the 'ku)

A long time ago, I started a clerihew project with a poet named Gwen (do you remember her, Craig?) She left and I lost my motivation. It was to be an anthology that showcased many different kinds of famous people , to be used by teachers to introduce interesting characters from history in a fun way (but we needed an illustrator) . Maybe one day I can regain motivation to try this. I have collected many of the best clerihews here at Soup (just need poets' permission to publish them in an anthology). Does that idea interest anyone here? I think Line is creating a book as well, but using poems of her last year contest winners. Would love to see stuff like this happen around here!

craig, I got his joke. That is why I replied, not whose clara, but Clara whose (clerihews) thanks for reminding me of Gwen's last name. I had forgotten it!

Twomas is being flip AD (get it, Cleri - hews) --- and yes, of course I recall Gwendolen Rix - she's from down under, a fine poet and beautiful lady.

Hey, Cwaig, I'm Baaaack!!! But no time to spend here really. I liked your kooky KU. I wrote a pee in the snow haiku last year too!! I DO want you to know that I am able to appreciate serious poetry as well. Agnes' book of thoughtful free verse, for example, was a recent delicious read for me. There is a time and place for all sorts of poetry. I loved hearing mine in the mouth of Jamie Bower! A woman in the audience called the movie eye candy for the director's gorgeous filming and also a poetic treat. She was such a sweet lady to say that to me! (the best eye candy was Jamie!) I enjoy creating and reading thoughtful poetry. Hope you realize that. I am just not good with puzzling things!

@huh. Agreed that without wisdom there's a nakedness, emptiness. With Craig's wisdom he can have an effect on a log (euphemism for those challenged) for the better. Hence the term putting bark on a log.

Jan, I just posted a poem that was inspired by your humor. Please take a read and let me know if I've hit the mark of your high standards for puns and humor. You may also sing it to the the tune of "House of the Rising Sun". A little something for everyone. LOL Hugs, the other Jan.
