The Unsupervised Stop Sign

When siren screams become silent to ears for which a heart has stopped; billions of beats - a billion thoughts, are not stilled, they survive in pauses that stare, and dreams that start awake and in journals where scribbles trace where those thoughts rhyme and wander. There's a sign ahead, at trail's end, yet no one's there to wake us, to say - don't go, but, we've already moved beyond...

This is such a brilliant and thought-provoking take for the contest!! You've conveyed a very deep sense of philosophical perspective that stirred my soul.. It's really unique.. It definitely conveyed thoughts that anyone can't actually fathom just in one heartbeat.. Really profound! A treasure of a write "When siren screams become silent to ears for which a heart has stopped;", "There's a sign ahead, at trail's end, yet no one's there to wake us" This says so much! Loved reading this & a FAV :)

This is so very deep and profound! Only a very experienced and one with a very philosophical mind can write something like this! Im looking at this contest, thinking of writing. And seeing yours made me go whoa! Especially “ There's a sign ahead, at trail's end, yet no one's there to wake us,“ such profound truths! Love this, fave for me

Thank you Inky, too kind - it's all both complicated and simple - so often we drive by the exit - habit...or wanton disregard?
