Such poetic aplomb Craig, I adore the way you have taken the reader on a journey which allows them to not only visualise the unfortunate event, but smell and almost experience the feel between the toes. Certainly a poem to take home with you!

ewww - lol, no, reminds me when I stepped in dog poo with Merrill sneakers (all kinds of nooks and crannies) - had to use a toothbrush to cleanout (don't worry, I rinsed well) - sick - no I threw it away!! Not the sneaker, the brush!
