Ok this is my second attempt to write a Biography Thank-YOU to Light and LOVE, Deborah : Constance ~
A Rambling Poet~ , My SweetHeart, Linda-Marie, My Polonesian Princess "Nikko" and my Beloved "Barbara"
I was born in the Beautiful Berkshire Hills in Western Massachusettes Growing up in Foster Homes in the 50's I never knew of Family LOVE or LOVE at all I was Married on 8/25/71  I was Widowed on 8/25/71 my Black Heart still Exists with-in my POETRY, My Family
"POETRYSOUP" Keeps me going My Mentor "Carol Brown" was with me from the Days of POETRY.com I will redo this Bio when I know more about HOW to do it I spent 15 years in High School no extra Education when I read some of the Bio's on site I think' am I a POET? This is a Response to an E-Mail I recieved a week ago. First off I am not leaving POETRYSOUP and your accusations that I am a Chauvinist (Spelling) and a Womanizer an an insult to all POETESS on this site I have looked through all my comments to fellow POETS and do not see anywhere where I belittle anyone on POETRYSOUP Also 90% of my recieved comments are from POETESS If I am so detremental (Spelling) to this site I would assume I would hear about it from more than just you You can write me an E-Mail that I tried to respond to, only to find that your reply address does not exist If you can't talk about this man to man or Woman to man ; than who should really leave POETRY SOUP I'm willing to talk: Are YOU, LOVE ALWAYS and FOREVER...HG

HG: I'm sorry to here about this. I got hit pretty hard today by a feller. Sorta accused me of being on the dole for collecting retirement pay for my 30 years of honorable AF service among other things. (I don't know what set him off!!!) I went back at him and said I spent 30 years defending his right to spew such inane babble and immediately blocked him from commenting in the future. I don't understand the petty crap that goes on within soup. I'm reminded of an old Hoosier saying I heard many years ago that might be applied to such people. "They remind me of a catfish - all mouth and no brains." Press on brother!

HG lighten up fella...the soup has many strange people.....some guy wrote to me about my plastic bag stuff claiming it was "irresponsible and childish" (IMAGINE ! AS IF i WOULD EVER WRITE ANYTHING SO SUPERFICIAL... HAHAHAH) . . . . . sure that's exactly what my mum used to say to me when I was six....so what's new?

I use poetry soup as a place to connect and possibly network. I love the fact there is a place to go where you are respected for your works. Where you can share the same love for writing that many others have. There is a lot of hostility here on PS maybe it will stop but probably not. Wish we could just get along..cory

HG, I myself don't understand all the hostility here on the soup...a vast percentage of us come together here for support, for someone to accuse you of BS, their loss for not knowing the real you...stay true to you...love always shannon

some people have nothing better to do.... As for me, making remarks and accusing poets of things,, have never been a way i get off on this site.. I have been hurt here many times.. The way i continue is..ignoring, and going about my business.. it always makes me feel better.. you are a wonderful man.. And me and NATHAN, think so..I'm behind you as a friend 99%.. but, you know me, I'm a silly kitty... prancing around.. but, i do hate others hurting others for no reason.. If ever there were a gentleman and a kind, beautiful and giving soul, it is you. This person is delusional or completely somehow misinterpreted you somewhere somehow. Do not dwell on it. Hi Harvey, You seem like a decent bloke, from what I've read, and I am not the writer of said e-mail. I recently wrote a poem about Elizabeth Barrett Browning, who many do not know was a feminist, Here is my first four lines:"Lady, passionate lady, what should I call you?/The title wordsmith is brassy and dully clangs/And poetess only mocks, is meant to subdue/Though lovely all of your works, they often bared fangs." Though many women poets describe themselves as a poetess, to some it is like.. hmm...saying poet-less. Like saying fireman and firelady (now firefighters) or mailman/mail lady (now mailcarriers). You addressing a poet as a poetess should not have garnished a kick in the pants! She should have explained her position, not been on the attack. I am sorry that you have been accused of something that OBVIOUSLY you did not intend. Peace to you, poet. From another poet, Cyndi

H.G. you are one of the Soups gentlemen, and there are many of them. It saddens me that this site throws up angst and hurt at regular intervals recently. It's a poetry site, first and foremost. There is no room for ego's as we are all equal. Brush he or she aside with your quill H.G. and ignore whomever it is. Have a lovely Sunday :)

some people take offence at the slightest little thing, don't let it bother you...nothing wrong with a bit of friendly, flirty banter anyway, it adds enjoyment to life! a phenomenon known as 'the sympathy of the sexes' exists here, in that women comment more on men and vice versa, it's just the way it is :-)
