Climates

Our biggest concern is not the Earth's climate, it's our own. We need more golden rules, more introspection, more grays and less white and black; more mirrors and fewer stones.

The shutting down of free speech is our biggest threat. Branding true facts as disinformation can only lead to more lies. Creating false narratives to incite ungrounded fears and then having journalists repeat the lies instead of exposing the truth. These are the the roots of unraveling a once stable society. I always had that thought on the Holocaust regarding the destruction of human potential. What breakthrough knowledge did any one of them take to the ovens that reduced them to ashes. SuZ

Craig, the climate in Canada is really decaying, the weather is confused, too warm for the time of the year for example was the problem in September and October, we are not getting cold. We had almost no rain in the summer. We had hundreds of wild fires burning across Canada, we have lost lots of green space, flooding in coastal places, wild storms like hurricanes and tornados in some areas. It has to do with the Artic melting, I have read and watched on TV and pollution. I think this problem is too far gone for any one person to make a difference but we must try, blessings.

It's the end of the world!! Where do you live in Canada - one of the rainiest summers on record? There are fires because of poor forest management etc. Get a grip - on your shovel - snow and cold will be there soon enough. We need common logical sense not hysteria

More mirrors and fewer stones! Yess! Whoa! What a way to state that: sometimes we need to do some shadow work to understand what our own flaws are before we throw stones. A good look at the mirror helps. Most see things in black or white, not grey, unfortunately, but to see things from both perspectives is necessary. The way youv said all that is so profound and philosophical! Well said

Every time we fight, we lose a little of ourselves and if it's a major battle, even if we "win" it can often be a "Pyrrhic" victory. Yes, some need to be fought but those should be in defense not aggression. It seems the innocent pay the price for the egos of those incapable of being leaders. That's ourselves too, our own peace pays the price for failures of our own egos. Thank you for your comment Inky.

Yes Tom, but we must be cautious about coalitions because coalitions can too easily become what they abhor, no matter their righteous intentions. It's as simple as doing what we're here to do, write poetry. To quote Eleanor Roosevelt (I think) "Small minds talk about people, average minds talk about things, and great minds talk about ideas", let's try to do that, because the rest of the world seems to be crumbling around us. Take care

the Romans lost over 20,000 men in the battle of Allia...the climate hasn't changed much just the weapons...we've been killers and murders since the beginning...just ask Cain and Able...so many generations, so much waste...maybe the ones that take the place of us humans can do better

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Ponder this, live it, sow the results. No magic here. End times? Not our call.
