Vagabond Dreams

sparks escape - their hurried paths fleeting the last of life consumed like forgotten dreams and memories painted over by angry years searching yet desires haunt and taunt in sunlit stares until shook with reality like a Kinkade snow globe a childhood wish now still and alone how far must minds wander to find that peace that is there waiting so close so very close

"memories painted over by angry years searching..." what wonderful, truthful lines! Your poem is great. I found your poetry because you're sponsoring a contest, and, darn I let my DIL take my Islands in the Stream" book with her so I can't refer to it. From your description, I take it you don't suffer fools...

Craig, I really enjoyed your poem. The images are striking and lingered in my mind. Your last stanza can be repeated time and time again. Beautiful.
