Vagabond Dreams
sparks escape -
their hurried paths
fleeting
the last of life consumed
like forgotten dreams and
memories painted over by
angry years searching
yet desires haunt and taunt
in sunlit stares
until shook with reality
like a Kinkade snow globe
a childhood wish
now still and alone
how far must minds wander
to find that peace
that is there waiting
so close so very close
