The Poems I Never Wrote

Somewhere in time, everywhere in time
are ingenious thoughts - forgotten,
"Should have saids", "Could have saids".

Thoughts penned in dried ink on
    paper torn with regrets.

Is it possible that some thoughts
must simply remain as they are?
Are there some things that
cannot be put into words?
Do we forget them because
they are meant to be forgotten,
or scribbled on a misplaced
       lazy page
as if they were never written
or wanted to be recalled?

Why then, do they haunt us
and are never truly gone...

Those never-forgotten thoughts do haunt us-until we find the time to script them...the beauty of poetry! Very nice, Craig. Hope all is well...Charlie

So many thoughts at once Craig we have when we are creating, the changing of words to convey a different perspective on original theme, a changing of word for effect or rhyme, a seperate them within a theme. A new thought that you realize, an Old thought you want removed. It is so difficult to conjure when there are so many aspects to conveying and remembering and writing simultaneously. I guess it is hard to find the answers to The Poem I Never Wrote, you have shared a few insights here Craig
