Hello Anne-Lise, I read your second blog here. I will drop Poetry Soup Admin and register my professional displeasure with all of this on your behalf. I know that all of my works on Poetry Soup are copyrighted outside of Poetry Soup (and doubly-so with those published in my first book), and so any of these fools perpetrating this thievery better beware. (If any of my poetry is stolen or copied, I can and will come after them with legal action under the copyright law. Apparently, the person or persons doing this, are unaware of the "legal ramifications" of doing such unlawful activity.) If Admin. would write their code to ban an IP address and not just simply an account name, they could still steal, but they couldn't continue to open new accounts and harass. I have come to enjoy so many people here, and I hate to see people leaving, or considering leaving...but I understand. I may be new here, but still this really disturbs me, and I feel bad for those whom are affected.

You might consider doing what many of us are doing...post your poetry here date it at the bottom and then come to facebook with soup poets of which there are many.....facebook brings the culprits down immediately. If the lack of Admin continues you will grow tired of begging them to step in....just my not so humble opinion...and yes I do think you are on facebook...so encourage others to come on over...

Anne Lise, I feel terrible about this, I left her a message that we will not tolerate this on poetry soup and reported her to admin and for me she is blocked, but that does not mean she cannot still steal. Admin does work slow but in time they do take care of the problems. I wonder if all her poetry is stolen, maybe even the avatar is a fake ~

It's not a new poet... the person has to be from the community. Probably helping themselves. They knew to post they where from Japan, and to make it believable they threw in 2 post In Japanese, probably stolen and the haiku, to make it look legit. They probably post 8 poems in a row because they know not everyone is going to read all their fake poems but one. He/she already knows these fake account with one poem are getting old...lol . The joke was on them cuz Annalise was visiting poems today... Yeah!!!

Sorry, Anne-Lise. but if she is now gone, that is a good thing. it happened to me when a girl took my poem from Shadow Poetry and entered it HERE and won something like second place in the International Soup contest several years ago. Of course she and the poem were removed. (just wish I'd known Soup would have liked it so much. I'd have entered it myself instead of the one I chose in their contest. hahaha)

The nerve of some people Anne Lise. Unfortunately we are not even safe in our own little haven of the soup. All too often lately I have seen poets using even only one or two lines plagiarized from other poems here. Even a few like Linda said, famous quotes.

If they are going to steal, they could just as easy copy it from a book. It is wrong and it does make me extremely angry but it's futile. You just can't stop them. All they have to do is change their account name and they're right back in business

American laws have no jurisdiction on people who live outside the US. It is against the law and it does make me angry but other than open discussions, there simply are no other options. One would spend a lifetime policing websites looking for thieves who have fake names.

All of us here on the soup write wonderful poems. It would be naive to think nobody is stealing our work. The internet is the perfect storm to accommodate them. I'd be willing to bet there are hundreds maybe thousands of stolen poems on the internet. The problem is, when they have to write one on their own they will not be able to do it. When people live in other countries, there's not a lot one can do. I will leave them to their Karma.

Sorry to hear the bad news, Ann Lise. Some fake poets are envious of the magnificent poems posted by very gifted poets on Poetry Soup. They have no inspiration coming from their evil souls, so they are forced to steal the works of other poets. Their sole intent is to share some undeserved glory. But when they are exposed, they either disappear or delete their stolen poems. There should be a way to track down these thieves and expel them from Poetry Soup immediately! Shame on them! By the way, a lot of the new accounts are fake (I say at least 2 a day) ... they take a grocery list and post it, they log on just once and never come back. One poet name Maria used the same poem on two different fake accounts and only changed the title and the ending. I reported to TPS. Don't know what happened after that. That's right, Annalise... I reported the very poem yesterday, after reading it. I did not alert the poet because I wanted TPS to see, plagiarism right under our noses... lol... she stole your whole mark and the way you (and only you) Title your haiku... ((that's what gave it away))... TPS works slow on the weekends. I hope they remove the entire account. If you read the other haiku on this FA- Fake account it doesn't even match to your haiku skill. A few weeks ago a poet name Abby C, posted quotes from Rummi... lol... I did alert her right away. That she was a plagiarist ...but guess what she BLOCKED me. And removed the 3 poems with Famous quotes. Some one must be starving. Linda

I don't think green oasis is her... or any of the other haiku. Check out how each haiku poem page posted is different from the others. Each one has a different style. Maybe they stole haiku to fit her avatar and the country she said she's from. After all haiku is a Japanese form, and the fake account is listed to be from Japan. (my thoughts) sorry this happened to you
