Admit you lost track under a blue fever moon Buckle your seat belt The hysterical, the shrinking curse Chew dog food, gum it sure smells delicious Constant tinnitus Burn aromatic herbs Dangerous situations with sparks from the mains A threat to the electricity pylons they are blacked out The street was familiar as one's own pocket Mysterious disappearances Even not Stephen King understood what had happened

Your poem is spooky and mysterious Anne-Lise. I haven't written one, and probably won't but I do enjoy reading them and really like yours. Good luck in the contest :)

Too many horror movies, Anne. You should switch to rom coms. Strange and spooky!

I found this contest to be a hard write for me, but I read others, like yours--exceptional viewpoints. Well done, Anne-Lise, GL on the contest. Aloha, William

- Yes, it was a hard contest William - Getting a short story isn't easy with this topic ... I don't like "A-4 long" poems :) - Thank you very much :) - hugs

Sometimes even familiar streets become strange and dark. May be through some mysterious malevolent intervention. A novel way of approaching the subject. 'Blue fever moon' has ominous connotations

Hi there, I just realized after reading some other poets poems that this is or was a contest. DUH for me. Rather dark and scary imagery and plan not to meet on that dead end street. Best of luck on this well penned poem.

This is a definite win dear Anne-Lise, so very scary yet so artfully expressed. Good luck in the contest although I don't think you need my luck. Hugs and blessings, JENNIFER.

OK... All I needed to see was that black crow on a dead-end sign to know it was going to be the death of something or someone. Nice one, ominously written, Anne-Lise.
