We were wrinkling our noses as a bunny The pastor uses an apostrophe Eternal echo in holy house His religious beliefs, lined with grace With arms and feet nailed to the cross The torture of whipping - pain and bloody sweat The crown of thorns Shadows fall into the moment's blind spot We are not stupid or deaf at times the doubt is deafening as the world changed Easter morning: a holy sign, the tomb was empty The age of miracles We wrinkled our noses as a bunny Is there a deeper meaning woven into it? A reminder of a heavenly scent a convincing God a moment of revelation glimpse of eternal hope The sky whispers in shades enlivens the senses The extendable crooked long ears listening to the Easter message When there is doubt, there must be faith

Dear Anne-Lise, What a neat and profound journey through faith, doubt, and the eternal hope found in the Easter message. You weave a landscape of spiritual reflection through evocative imagery and poignant language giving deeper meanings behind religious beliefs. Your poem beautifully captures the duality of doubt and faith and the enduring power of belief in the face of uncertainty. Anne-Lise this is a soul-stirring piece that shows the essence of Easter and the eternal hope it brings. Blessings my friend, Daniel

"faith" is the key word... It's crazy to think that a bunny would decorate, hide, and possibly even lay, decorated eggs each Easter.

Dear Anne, I can relate to this so well as my husband has a nose wrinkling in matters of faith, and to a great extent, he is a skeptic. But I am a staunch believer. Between us, there are arguments on matters of faith. A great composition with much depth in its content. Love and hugs

what a great image to accompany your poem, Anne-Lise. Your poem is unique but a fabulous contest contender. Your light-hearted poem spoke of a serious matter-doubt (wrinkling one's nose like a bunny). We should all be a bit more like the bunny with the extended crooked ears. Sometimes there's a message to be heard. I enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing your creativity today, hugs, Sara

Anne-Lise, doubt and nose wrinkling are not bad things. A lot of people have faith and some do not. You nailed it on this one!

Anne-Lise, your use of clever rhetoric in your poem is truly impressive. The imagery you create of the extendable, crooked long ears listening to the Easter message is both vivid and thought-provoking. Your poem beautifully conveys the idea that in times of doubt, it is important to have faith.
