Anne-Lise, you have described perfection with perfection. As I was reading, I was thinking that many of the sequences of lines could be haiku. In other words, this is packed with incredible descriptions. You have a wonderful style that is a joy to read!

Well done Anne-Lise. Roses are not only roses, they are symbolic flowers that when we look at them, many thoughts crossed our mind, apart from the beautiful smell. And should we ever forget we just have to read this poem. While the rose still cries out romance to me there is a rival growing in our garden that calls out choose me, choose me. We have six varieties. Tis the latecomer, the late flowering Dahlia that can turn almost as many heads as my favorite rose that is purple. A fitting ode Anne-Lise. Fantastic portrait.

Aesthetically pleasing and elegantly detailed poem. Like you, I find that roses lift my spirits and evoke warm nostalgia. beautiful depiction of the blossom. An omen that roses will soon be in bloom, this is a comforting sign.
