It does seem that the cold and ice touches everything and even the sky gets involved. You put it all together. It's a powerful scene. How much colder can it get?

Oh, Anne-Lise! This is visual perfection - "dark petroleum horizon," "chattering teeth, " "crystals have yielded silver!" And like your final image, you spared nothing with your creative freshness and so reflects your intimate knowledge of the many faces of winter! Such a powerful sijo! Best wishes for the contest!
