I just watched a video that inspired this poem; however, it was also inspired by someone very special on PoetrySoup. She always has a kind word for people, and she always posts such lovely beautiful poems, with beautiful art and photos, and there are many days she has brought this dark soul a smile. She is humble and so sweet and kind with her words!

I also consider her an Ambassador for Norway, as now I assume all the men and women of Norway are just like her, and I would love to visit this Country. I have seen such vivid photography, it seems a dreamland!

So I dedicate this poem, to the wonderful Anne Lise from Norway!

Someone Like You

So little it takes
Smiles so huge they make
All because
Of someone like you

Small gifts from the heart
Lifting up those 
Whose days had sad starts
Smiling back at someone like you

So little it takes
Holding open the door
Sunshine it does make
From someone like you

If the world only had
More someone’s like you
We'd have so much laughter
And the world would never be blue

All cause
Of someone like you

As soon as I saw this title on your poem's list, it reminded me of Adele's song. So I enjoyed the Youtube clip you have included here. Nice tribute to Anne-Lise.

I have enjoyed reading this poem of Anne-Lise I also would like to visit Norway.From what I have seen in photos it is a beautiful country. I need to win the lottery.

Hi Arthur, First of all I must say I love the song "some one like you " by Adele. This is such a fitting tribute piece for a beautiful lady. She most definitely brings "sunshine" to the soup:-) Alexis

The Seeker wrote a poem about poems not being read. Like you Arthur, Anna-Lise has written positive reviews about mine, even when I did not have the time to reciprocate. To know that people care enough to keep reading means so much. She is special.
