Once abroad I got a glimpse of a herd of deer. They are magnificent. I would never dream of hunting them though once I was offered a lunch with deer included.

they're magnificent creatures. I sometimes accompanied my dad when he went deer hunting. In reality, he didn't actually 'hunt' the day...he just watched them. I loved sitting or standing beside him doing so...such vivid memories. Loved your words...have a splendid evening, Sara

Oh, what a beautiful haiku this is, dear Anne-Lise.. You always capture the scenes of wildlife and emotions so well in your wonderful poems.. Especially haiku ones! "deer standing in the heather -connection is deep" Ahh, so gorgeous, it's like you've an empathetic aura which can feel the connection that different elements have with each other.
