3rd place in the contest

I am drying the dews of dawn in glittering luster Crystalline clarity A golden sapphire splendor that makes you impressed The midday sun, a brilliant blaze where the UV index is at its highest Attempt to avoid me at the most intense hours Watch my nightgown, feminine lace exquisite colorful embroideries Always a warm smile I bringing love to every heart

Anne-Lise, what wonderful and fresh imagery surrounding each phase of the sun throughout the day! What a delightful, and very unique, way to express the personality of the sun! Each stanza speaks to the rich and life giving essence of the sun in the sun's own words! Congratulations on your win! Hugs and blessings as your days grow longer and hopefully the sun is returning!

We feel the power of the mid-day sun. With global warming, summer is becoming so very intolerable in our region. We feel the might of the sun. The beauty of the sun's nightgown is the only thing that gives us some joy these days! Great personification where the sun himself warns of the ultraviolet rays that come down with the beams. Love and Hugs dear Anne

Personification at its best Anne-Lise. Even a warning tucked in there for good measure amid all the wonderful attributes the sun tells of herself. So well done. A lovely poem.

outstanding, Anne-Lise. I felt like I was in a room somewhere and was having a conversation with the sun...that was brilliant. Your imagery was captivating. I especially liked this alliterative line/image: "drying the dews of dawn." A fabulous contest entry. Best wishes with the contest, hugs Sara

Anne-Lise, I am thinking about how lucky we are to have our shining star. It empowers everything we have. It's remarkable to think about and not take it for granted. Many thanks for this one and for the focus on our biggest cheerleader and supporter.
