Arthur Vaso is a Canadian poet, born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. He has had his works published in local papers/magazines as well as on many Web sites. He has traveled extensively around the world, and writes about a wide variety of topics.

This was the hardest feature I have had to do so far as, Lucilla passed away, September 27, 2014. We met here on Soup the beginning of 2013, and soon started chatting almost daily. She was going through many health issues, in and out of hospital, and yet she was always more concerned with you, than herself.

I took her last poem written, and turned it into a collaboration thinking how we would have done it and what would have pleased her. I hope those who knew her will enjoy this, and for those that did not, her poetry is beautiful and well worth reading.

wow, I just saw the poem you mentioned in your blog. It was an inspired idea.Also I happened upon the reading of Constance's Beautiful scars poem by Silent One. I really enjoyed that!

Lucilla was an amazing soul. I'm glad you put her as your guest poet. I read two things. I must have missed one of the three things you have put links for , so I will go check them out again. I did not know how close you had gotten with her and I am sure I must have heard it before, but it's wonderful to know Eve is her sister!

lucy and i had good moments together with personal notes exchanged while she was here on soup... and she would tell me of her health concerns without pining, discuss similar interests, and comment on our works... thanks for featuring her, arthur!..huggs

I love reading her comments to me. I had the chance to call in and talk to her when she was on Drake's show. She was a wonderful....exceptional woman. We exchanged a few emails. I wrote a tribute poem when she passed away.....Thanks you for showcasing this wonderful woman. Blessings.

She was a terrific lady and poet. She used to live in my area and we shared many stories in the short time I knew her. A perfect choice.

In the few months that I had contact with Lucilla and her poetry I realized what a wonderful person she was. Health wise she was having a hard time, but she carried on in her gentle manner, exuding faith and positivity. I will always remember her. This was an inspirational choice Arthur ! Lucilla was loved by so many on the site - I have a little smile every time I see her comments on my older poems and miss her so much. I had a tear in my eye reading the bio and poems you chose Bravo! Look forward to see who you choose next
