He is the king of words and poets alike Assay as you may, this man you won’t smite His armour sparkles in night or day Defending those too meek to say His table is round, there's room for all There are chairs with wheels so no one will fall He hands out bronze goblets with sparkling wine This king of lush gardens has spine Renowned through the kingdom, for deeds he’s done There is no battle, he has not won His knights are loyal to a fault So you better beware who you assault Lancelot and Guinevere are by his side Uniting followers far and wide So sit and drink with us in harmony And enjoy food presented artfully

Legend has it that if ever England suffers invading forces Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table will manifest and ride once more unto battle...for the glory and salvation of all Brits...truly I would really like to think so! Enjoyed the poem; evokes stirring images! My best regards. :) john

This is very cool - enjoyed it, as I love the whole legend of Camelot and everything connected to it, (and some of the deeper, more obscure tales attached - have written a few myself). You might check out "Freedom's Rare Sanctuary" that I wrote about the tree that Merlin assigned to guard Excalibur. Love this guys - great collab!

"Assay as you may . . ." I loved this choice of words. I am a chemist of sorts and that word assay carries the meaning of deep and probing analysis. Nice job guys! -- Dean
