Breaking Bad


Criminals
dance with slum lords
they shed fake tears
victims they shout
from Ivory towers

Mock and attack
they of dark cloth and deceit
possesses no real God
they whoreship only their prey
living by night not day

Some even screech praise untowards
sick is the mind who follows
dead morals and upended graves
they really are the bully's slaves
Yet their churches pew is full

Criminals all
singing love songs
sewing fear and anger
no wonder God got fed up
evicting them one and all

On reading this a second time, I experienced it in a completely different way. I also agree with Rob, “We will know them by their fruit.” A belated congrats Art. ;0)

A much belated congratulations on POTD honors for this fine piece. A message of truth and should stand as a warning to those that live and love to attack innocent victims. So true, they attack, hide and then themselves play as if they are the victim. Must be some kind of insanity... A fav, bold truth and a gem too...

People of faith are not perfect. It seems that nowadays they are an easy and acceptable target. My side, your side, his side, her side? Let’s all come together and it can be our side. It’s not wise to assume God’s intentions lest we be the ones who are evicted.

Souls whose hearts and minds filled with a huge void lack the blessings of Faith and Love, have no taste of a true feel and genuine care.. nothing for them to share!
