We lie ‘neath the oak on a carpet of brown leaves that lost their amber glory. With eyes tightly shut, we envision spring’s return— hoping our love does the same.

This is a delightful Sedoka Carol. I truly loved it. The use of imagery in some lines is just awesome. I love it! You get a 7 at least from me, lol...wish I could rate you with more but can't. I enjoyed the image of this couple lying on the crunchy, dead leaves, hoping love would still be theirs in spring. You actually told a story in just six lines. Good luck in Andrea's contest!
