Dine and Dash

People dine, I know I know
they also die
mostly old people
I know
there seems no fixed rule
to this dance with death
I do not like this one bit
or if dining, I don't like it one bite
I am alive yet I think I am dead
there is no reason for it all
smiles only bleed
now I dine alone
there is, no where to dash

Valsa George April 13, 2024 at 6:51 AM "I am alive yet I think I am dead/ there is no reason for it all". Sometimes without any specific reason, we feel sad. It is OK if it is not long standing. This poem has made me feel sad. But I see a dash of lightheartedness in your lines.
