Dine and Dash

People dine, I know I know they also die mostly old people I know there seems no fixed rule to this dance with death I do not like this one bit or if dining, I don't like it one bite I am alive yet I think I am dead there is no reason for it all smiles only bleed now I dine alone there is, no where to dash

"I am alive yet I think I am dead/ there is no reason for it all". Sometimes without any specific reason, we feel sad. It is OK if it is not long standing. This poem has made me feel sad. But I see a dash of lightheartedness in your lines.

Your style of writing hasn't changed at all, Arthur; somewhere there is always the possibility of play on words, or an unexpected twist, eliciting a smile or a tear. ~ Regards // paul

WoW! Hi Arthur, What a compelling take on the phrase " Dine And Dash". Your writes are not predictable. This one is no exception. It is so well written, I like your style and your poetic tone and voice. I found it sad and a bit dark. But it's a poem worth reading. As you know I am fan of you and your work. Have a wonderful day-Alexis
