Golden Shovel

Exotic eyes stare back at me
a huge Heffner begging
for the attention of her musings
she dances and sways
in the darkness, the streetlights
highlight her deceptions
she thinks she stole my heart
blind, I see the meaning of true deceit
my wallets disappears between the sheets
she thinks she is silent
I hear every click
the credit cards makes
sadness stabs me
that the even the sheep are fake
kindness is a mask
on the canvas of life
make sure to paint the truth
Inspector Clouseau
has confirmed
the infidelity of it all

I love the contrast, "she dances in the darkness as the street lights highlight her deception". Its so skillfully worded. Loved it.

Infidelity, deceit - you (or should I say Inspector Closeau) bring them out very well, Arthur :)

Dear friend Arthur, your writing has captivated me with its enchanting tones and rhyme. Every line is impeccably crafted, evoking vivid images and emotions. Your mastery in using the prompt to compose such a piece is awe-inspiring. Just a reminder Arthur if this is for the Graig Contest, I think you need to add the prompt you choose.
