You do not know about my nights It is a different universe Where life is being so much worse There is no room for happiness When eyes are closed the demons roam They rule where I live uninvited They make a nightmare of my home My safe place horribly invaded After I wake up, I'm not me My back against a wall, and shaking My eyes are blind but still I see The torture. Fear so real and aching How my life stopped and then began In every painful little detail How I was born after I ran This world, so new, I am so frail I am not strong, see me here crying After this nightmare again, again Give me your arms, I just want lying In safety with you, without pain *** Copyright © Darren White April 26, 2017

This poem brings me to tears, and so do the comments, I know what is pain, I know you suffer so, but I am so happy to see all the support you have here! It gives me faith in humanity again! I think we all wish to take away your pain, no matter the realities of life, we are all with you! :)

I have wonderful friends :) And as I said to Victor, I am not unhappy. I just ofetn use poetry to express reality of my life, but it doesn't mean I am a dark sad person. Thank you my friend, for always being here for me :)

This is painful to read, Darren, but poetry is sometimes a result of our tears instead of smiles. I know. Maybe your nightmares will turn into sweet dreams someday. Hang in there, Sweetie.

I can relate so well to this poem Darren. I suffer from night terrors and wake up screaming often. Asking the angels for help is what helps protect me the most. You have expressed this pain and fear brilliantly my friend. 7 ; )

Night terrors and nightmares, they are simply said awful. I have learned a lot of coping techniques, meditating helps me the most, thank you Connie :)

I cannot imagine the horrific nightmares you are experiencing, my friend! But I do hope that writing poetry is in some way therapeutic for you! A very heartfelt poem!

I wish I could erase your pain...but the pains of the past is what made you the strong amd wonderful person you are...I hope Ill always be a friend who protect you from pain in today...by showing you..you are not alone..Am touched
