Arthur Vaso Poet Free verse

I Saw a Fool

There are many in this world
young and old
there is no color or gender
nor fashionable style
that tells you all 
there is need to see

A circus may have many clowns
a murder many a foolish crow
the white house full of 
	condescending frowns


No matter where you go
fools will always dance and jump
 	they love attention
the spotlight on their acts of show

Now you may ask how I know?
should I tell you, or run and go
meekly here, a confession true
I am the biggest

For in the mirror
I saw a fool

Timothy Ray October 13, 2023 at 3:51 AM as mom always said, you can get a horse to water but it may not comprehend its' own reflection. never expect that logic is coherent to the man in the mirror. unfortunately among the men in the mirror cognitive acuity, as with common sense, is not common.
