Mothers Day

Mothers day

She gave birth
from a smoke filled womb
the umbilical chord around my neck
eternity choked
tossed into a world
of loneliness
discarded garbage
my mind slowly rots away
bitterness ebbs and flows
in my garden of flowers

Heartfelt and emotional piece Arthur. Life is not easy in this fallen world we live in. Hope you are well and hanging in there...

Hope you didn't find the umbilical chord a noose .... ! However it is true that we are flung into an unfriendly and hostile world . Life sometimes becomes a struggle. But it becomes meaningful in proportion to the effort we take to make the heap of garbage into a flowering garden. Powerful poem. Thanks for your visit to my page, Arthur !

Such a beautiful mother's day poem this is dear friend. When me and my other siblings were born our mom kept our umbilical chords for remembrance. After reading your poem, i wished mine was tossed up into the world too. Thanks for sharing this awesome write. I love it especially the ending. God bless you always. Hugs
