Momentous Day - Michael Degenhardt's Blog

<P>Whatever our beliefs or selected candidate, we have a new leader being sworn in today. It comes from our privelage to vote, the responsibility to stand behind our elected officials. Whether we voted for him or not, let us not make this a day in history for negative reasons, but one for positive, the possibility of change, the chance that all presidents are given. Let us all help him make the difference we seek. On this day, let us as well swear to be a part of our own society and governement and not sit back and blame when things go wrong, but rather stand and support in order to prevent things from going wrong. Mr President, good luck and take the hearts and thoughts of these men and women with you today and forever.</P>

Sandy Schermerhorn Date: 1/20/2009 4:30:00 PM That's for sure this is the first time I sat and watched first hand the President being sworn it, as it never really mattered much to me until now, it was awesome!!!!And your message is so true we all have to come together no matter what side we choose to stand on and back him 100% we may not get everything that's needed right away but it will be gotten to and not forgotten or pushed aside, it may not be as complete as we all would end up it being but it will be better than it is now congrats Mr. President and God bless this great nation of Americans Login to Reply

Vince Suzadail Jr. Date: 1/20/2009 1:11:00 PM Changing the nightmare that our president inherited from the Bush Administration will take a group effort. We need to unify and work together as Americans can and we will beat this thing. There is already a feeling of hope permeating through the mess handed to him. If we allow our petty differences to interfere, it will be a long eight years (did I say eight?). In spite of my not being a liberal, I haven't felt this good about a president since 1960.
