Good Night

When night so finds my wounded soul
And stars, they guide, as dreams take flight
The woes of day are placed on hold
And left to wait til next days light

For now, I'll find a restful sleep
And dreams, therein, are mine to keep

The waking sunlight fills the room
As eyes so squint, the morning way
While mind awakens, filled with thought
Of the woes so left there yesterday

I pray that night then finds me fast
So daily struggles quickly pass
