Night and Day

As night presses upon the borders of day While the moon takes residence within the sky The eyes of those witnessing, squint amidst the brightness Allowing a silhouetted view of distant landscape As night presses upon the borders of day As day awakens to take refuge from darkness The fire colored sun takes its place within the heavens While all awakened by light, witness the birth of a new day Giving smiles to faces and hope to those in need As day awakens to take refuge from darkness

Nice ... easy to get lost in the visuals of this poem. And thank you too for your lovely comment on my "Mailman" poem. I appreciate that you took the time to share your vision of it. ~J~
