Nature's Cycle

The fruit lies to waste upon the ground surrounding the tree Animals, scavengers, seek to find any morsel, satisfying need Oblivious to the tree’s tears of loss and lament of winter struggle They creatures poke, search, consume and toss These are the cycles of survival

Nature indeed is cyclic, and yet the sorrow is that what has been shall never be again. I feel this poem like a mother's voice protecting things. Peace, brother
