Sorrow Cedes When Beauty Takes Its Place
Sorrow cedes when beauty takes its place
My soul feeds when fairness greets the eye
Warm are golden beams that brush my face
When upturned, this countenance to the sky
But inside, when out is gusty gale
And life has more to give than one can take,
There is peace when storms outside prevail
Happiness is ours to give or make
Seek without when darkness dwells within
Look to light when what is not destroys
When the veil of life has weathered thin
Know that in the end wait treasured joys
