One Scary Night

Darkness started to overshadow the light as evening descended upon this part of town. Eyes
took notice of change but yet at times were drawn to something distant, moving within the
shadows. Apparitions? No, that cannot be, for that would mean ghosts. But who? Whose soul
wanders, not finding true destination, the light?

Upon this darkened eve, a chill Within the corner goes, my eye Outside, a noise, a scary shrill With vision here, I’m paralyzed I’m drawn to it by sound it makes A humming lull, sounds like a boo But from me now, no fear it takes As I just don’t know what to do Approach it, yes, I’ll take that chance With hopes good will, it will then share Yet, it leaves me now within this stance For touching it, I shall not dare Oh, evil spirit, if thou so be Please now depart before I see

This is wonderful and sort of spooky. You wrote this as if you may have experienced something paranormal yourself at one time or another in your life. Makes the writer wonder what really lurks in the darkness...LOL Smiles from Lolita

Glad to read imagination as one of your categories. Would be terrified to experience such a thing, yet I do believe they occur. Chilling and creepy. Well written. Love, Shar
