To Sea and Back

Free me now from these chains
Which tether me to the dreams
That there’s no chance of achieving

For they are a weighted blanket
Pulling me further and deeper down
Into the depths of an unending sea

Hope is that one hand from anyone
A salvation allowing me to surface
To face the future while standing on dry land

Sometimes our dreams are to big to achieve and pulls us under but we need to find the balance of what is achievable. Like the thoughts in this poem. love phyl
