Below the Surface

Ripples may exist on the surface of the lake
But there is stillness, a calmness residing beneath
Within there, there is you, the beauty
That who brings serenity and foundation to my life

Lady of my lake
You are my current today
You are my flowing tomorrow
And I am only now realizing
You were my past
My eternal embodiment of love

Despite the rainstorms and windstorms
There again, beneath the surface you remain
My source for strength and undying vitality
You are who brings serenity and foundation to my life

Your "lady of the lake" sounds like she makes your life complete, Michael. How lucky you are to have the "current" of her love flowing through you as you weather the storms of life. Beautifully written. Love, Carolyn
