I Care

Don’t let the sound of my voice
Drown out the sound of my heart
As the words I really wish to say
Seldom get a chance or start
When two butt heads as we so do
It doesn’t mean the love’s not there
I hope my heart’s voice is loud enough
To get the message through, I care

I care,
	Because I love you
I care,
	Because I do
I care,
	Because I love you
I just pray,
	That you care, too

Fathers fight with sons
And husbands too with wives
Choices, though are what we make
That affect our very lives
So if it gets so loud in here
That it begins to hurt your ears
It’s only because I love so much
And have now all these years

I care,
	Because I love you
I care,
	Because I do
I care,
	Because I love you
I just pray,
	That you care, too

You touched my heart with this poem of devotion to a loved one, Michael. Sometimes we say things that we don't mean and wish we could take them back. But I do believe the heart has a stronger voice. So nice to have you here again. Love, Carolyn
