Question

No sense of recollection
My mind is blank, so clear
I cannot for the life me
Remember why I’m here
I stand before you, upright
My face before you, too
But, still I don’t remember
Can I ask, do you?

Was I here to hold you gently
To give a kiss upon your brow
Or on your lips, do I kiss
Am I to do this now?
I stand awaiting answers
As I really wish to know
Am I here for you, I ask
Are you here for me, also?

Hmm...reading Christie's comment has me seeing this poem in a different perspective. Thought provoking indeed. Love, Shar
