MY FRIEND

My friend is sad and so am I
For different reasons I ask Him, ‘why?’
He looks at me neither bold nor blue.
A light glows pink in merry hue.

She called me up and poured her mind
I felt the same, of a different kind.
When spirit’s measure stretched at length
I woke up to find, I’ve lost all strength.
She has been trying to dry out her tears
While I here, myself was driving my fears.
No one to share my feelings drawn
I gathered strength to fill her morn.
With laughter and light she retired to bed
I worked the night, was awake instead.
Today it was told it’s not required
I had my share of the pain I shared.

Then reasoned out ‘was it all meant
To surrender my wisdom or my strength?’.
He looked at me and waited long-------
Till I blew my breath of scorn
Was that how You cleaned my eyes?
Was it healthy for the spirit to rise?

My friend’s laughter at the end of the call
Made me realize once and for all
My hard work somewhere has paid me well
I have reasons for love to dwell.

Love for Him came naturally, through,
I looked at Him and felt so blue-----
He could have gone but He never did.
He had to show me my greatest need.

I never really noticed your blue;
hidden under transparent shields
screaming to be noticed... or something.

Just came across as angry or sad,
wanting to forget some bad...
but not blue, never that.

Not the kind to bind a knot;
throw their lot in with chance's whim
to test if fate says sink or swim

and lose...

Life, The endless journey

Yes, you can see the sky
        When you alive.
You sees the colours of sky that
may, reminds of the chapter of life.
Sometimes you are sad and cry!
And it rains from the sky. Please!!
Notice, sky not may beautiful by it’s won
So.. Why your life would be cool without deeds?
Ofcourse, it has no end. But you have!
Decorate your life as the sky does with clouds, sunlight, birds.. If sky tolerate the pollution, thunders.. Why can't you?
Anything you do, but at last..
You will be a little star of Nights sky.

You And I

In blue water I'm going down
swept away by the tide all sense left behind
in dark waters I might drown
caught in the current out of my mind
holding my breath and hoping
my love for you will stand the test of time
out of my depth and hanging on
for the day you say you are mine
in over my head how long can I tread
these waters for you
don't know what to do
what's to be done
I'm between the devil and...
deep waters still run

Blue Notes

Nowadays,
people don’t
'get'
the real Blues,
they have
blue-funks.

The funks
makes a person
glare
and simmer
like a radio-active sunflower.

The Blues
don’t come at anyone
with a rabid face, or any
bad juju.
Blues songs
don’t club at you
with a baseball bat,
they won’t yell in your ear.

If you got the
Blues
you have a dog and a guitar,
even when you don't.

If you got the Blues
you have a whole range
of sad little chuckles
and each one
is another shade of blue.

Nowadays,
folks don't know
the difference from the
Blues
and the blue-funks,

in which case
Tennessee Whiskey
(or just the thought of it)
might help.

out of the blue, into the blue

in a soft sigh or quiet curse
    a bubble of pain
in the embers of a fading fire
    sparks of memory
in the hollow of the chest
    echoes of love
where the smile doesn't meet the eyes
    mania or melodrama
        depending on the day.

awoke from a dream with a leaden heart

out of the blue, into the blue

I haven't cried since you left -
    that hurts more than anything

Algorithm And Blues

Gotta go to school it's the same old story
teach me a lesson would be good for me
learning all the rules five days of the week
don't fall behind don't think don't speak
gotta go to work it's the same sad story
get me a job that's sure to bore me
working for a wage five days of the week
don't step out of line don't think don't speak
gotta go to church it's the same sick story
wed me a wife who's bound to hound me
listen to her ***** each day of the week
don't fool around don't think don't speak
it's the way of the world the way of man
follow the herd don't say a word
all we can do is do all we can
so let's all dance to the same algorithm
everyone even you and me
dictated and played by the powers that be
me and you what have we got to lose
if we stay in line we'll be fine
and dance to the same algorithm and blues

Missing

I'm lost
Without your hand
To hold

The walk
To school of life
Less bold

You vanished
In a Puff.
So quickly

My heart
So sad
My tummy sickly

No stop
No hug
The speeding car

Whisked you
Away
No au revoir

The color
In my life
Now blue

My hand
So cold.
I'm missing you

The Man In The Moon

Dancing in my room as the daylight fades
my silhouette turns pirouettes on the window shade
how much love does it take to break the spell
and shake this gloom I know too well
rainy days I've had my share
the outlook it's not always fair
searching for a way reaching out for you
'til you return and make the sun shine through
slipping into dreams as twilight falls
my fantasy's reality 'til tomorrow calls
how much faith does it take to make amends
and wake this love in you again
lonely nights I've known a few
that cold cold wind it cuts right through
looking for the good hoping for the best
wanting all your love getting by on less
and I'm talking to the man in the moon
telling him I'm missing you
walking with the man in the moon
wondering if he's ever been this blue

Heart By The Lake

Life is a rollercoaster of emotions
Once you are happy,
In a blink you're sad:
Or in a glimpse of a rage memory,
you'll feel at lost,
regretful of the past.

Our mind's a spring of feelings,
it's up to you
how you react.
Forgive yourself
Is one wise act.
Forgive others
Is a perfect path.

Your real self
Is in a nutshell.
You can hide it well
With words of lie,
But your acts
Cannot deny,
quietly speak high.

True kindness,
True goodness,
True depth
Of one's mind;

Our heart,
Like the lake,
Though calm at summer,
Angers in a
Stormy weather.
In a point of time,
Your shadow fades;
Conceals
Your true shade.

BLUE SUMMER
vs 1

IT'S BEEN A SAD DAY,
I FOUND OUT THE ONE I LOVE,
HAS GONE AWAY...
IT'S HARD TO RISE ABOVE

vs 2

NOW THE DAYS ARE ALL EMPTY
NOTHING LEFT TO LOOK FORWARD TO...
FEELS LIKE THE WORLD IS ENDING...
AND NOW I'M ALL ALONE

CHORUS

GONNA BE A BLUE SUMMER
YEAH IT'S TRUE...
GONNA BE A BLUE SUMMER
IT'S HARD HERE WITHOUT YOU
I'LL DREAD EVERYDAY...
EXPECT ONLY RAIN....
ON THIS BLUE SUMMER
ON THIS BLUE SUMMER

vs 3

GOT TO FIND A WAY...
FIND ME SOME COMFORT...
GOT TO GET AWAY...
TO FIND MEANING AGAIN

vs 4

THE ANSWER'S SO CLEAR...
KEEP REACHING FORWARD...
EVEN THOUGH I DONT WANT TO
'CAUSE HAPPINESS IS NEAR

CHORUS REPEAT

GONNA BE A BLUE SUMMER
YEAH IT'S TRUE...
GONNA BE A BLUE SUMMER
IT'S HARD HERE WITHOUT YOU
I'LL DREAD EVERYDAY...
EXPECT ONLY RAIN....
ON THIS BLUE SUMMER
ON THIS BLUE SUMMER

Play Me A Sad Song

Play me a song, but not just any tune.
I'm not here to dance, or sing along in June.
I don't need rhythms that make my heart leap high,
Just give me notes that echo, and a melody that sighs.

Play me not a hopeful melody.
Hope is a promise dressed in disguise.
It soothes for a moment, then slips away,
Hurting more than it ever helps.
A whisper that fades, leaving you high and dry.

Sing me no song of fleeting joy.
Joy dances in, then fades just as quick.
A blissful moment meant to make us forget,
Then leave us with tears it failed to predict.

Do give me a song, but not for love.
Love is a myth wrapped in pain.
When it fades, only sorrow remains.
Happy memories now slipping away.
A wound that hums and sings along,
Trying to soothe where love went wrong.

I need a song that speaks to my soul,
A melancholy tune that makes me whole.
A song that paints my nostalgia, and brings back the past,
A reminder of what's lost, and what will forever last.

Play me a sad song, one that knows my name,
A song that understands the depths of my pain.
Not for hope, or joy, or love's sweet lie,
But to help me face the ever lasting truth.

  - Not everyone is born under a starry sky ~ but climbed great heights -
                                                       quote by poet

Near the river I saw the decrepit aged man
    Striped of outerwear
even though the snow reached his knees

The ground was inextricably bound by frost
Bare feet in worn-out shoes across the footpath
one shaky foot in front of the other

His body weak, but his will strong
    - fighting as best he can
    focused on survival
There is a lot of weight on his shoulders

The world occasionally feels as a bubble
    with distorted truths,
    falsehoods and veneers
    Poor ignorant people

With glimmer of hope in the pitch dark
a warm home and a bottle of gin
Is that too much to ask?

Premium MemberOnly Yesterday

Only yesterday all was fine
Loving every second of time
Suddenly I'm lonesome and blue
Knowing that I am losing you
I need a helping hand to hold
From someone with a heart of gold
Please send your love from you to me
When you do, act naturally.
