Premium MemberI Feel Her

I felt her tears that I never saw
The pain in her heart that she bore

All of my lies that burnt into her soul
Her broken body as I destroyed her whole

I walked away like I didn’t care
Now her pain is mine alone to share

I feel her, I feel her, o' yeah I feel her

Should’ve stayed, should’ve explained
That to someone else I was chained

That I was just out to have some fun
It would be over once I was done

I never thought I was doing her wrong
And that to her alone I would belong

I feel her, I feel her, o' yeah I feel her

Now her tears have turned into oceans
As she’s drowning me with her emotions

Where it’s her turn to feel my pain
As my love for her I did not retain

I had let her go without a thought
Left her heart beyond distraught

I feel her, I feel her, o' yeah I feel her

I feel her, I feel her, o' yeah I feel her

I feel her . . .

Premium MemberGreen Man of the Golden Stars

The rocky road made good sense to get here.
Life doesn't slow down, but speeds on like fire.
She remembers how life always appeared
When the Green Man always for her enquired.

He was the one who showed felicity
Back in the woods of mythic wanderers.
It didn't matter his ethnicity
He became a mystical conquerer

Wandering through the elemental fields
Where spectral skylights sparkled at twilight,
Revealing truths so environmental,
Dreamy ancestral visions bathed in light,

Ways that can only be told in stories
By golden stars and observatories.

Blue Suede Coat

l saw him looking as l was walking by
and in those days, l was really shy
and my friend said 'did you see that gorgeous guy'
and l said no....and asked her why

she said he was definitely looking at you
l said no, that cant be true
for she was the prettiest of us two
he said l was the one, and that he knew

l was sweet 16 and walked on by
he was 17 and a handsome guy
he was standing at the gate of our local pub
he was waiting for his lift , to the football club

l was sweet 16 and didn't wonder about
the blue eye blonde guy, who gave a shout
it must be for her , she's prettier than me
he said 'do you want a coffee' ? there's ones near here

l said l don't think so....my friend said great
he said maybe next week, and he'd bring his mate
l was sweet 16 and l fell in love
with the handsome guy , waiting for his training club

we married at 18 on an Autumn day
and we kept our promises , come what may
l asked once 'why pick me' and not the other
he said l wore a blue suede coat........... and its his favorite colour lol

The sound of breaking

The sound of breaking is late.
Thunder shatters gray clouds after
lightning strikes the damp soil.
When pieces of sky pierce flesh,
the scream is slow to rise—
The sound of breaking follows pain’s echo.

The sound of breaking is gentle.
Raindrops tiptoe on my eyelids—
each sting a secret pressed down.
Earth's unbridled tears fall for my dried irises
like a mother weeping for her daughter’s sorrow.
The sound of breaking soothes the broken.

The sound of breaking is silent.
Breaking is walking beside the light,
but too dim to cast a shadow.
I watch as the sun clears the post-rain sky,
dyes its silk blue with the arc of a rainbow—
the sound of breaking
mutes even the birdsong at dawn.

Premium MemberYour Blue Eyes are My Blue Skies

From the moment I first saw you
Something in me changed
And then when I first heard you sing
My heart was rearranged
I'd heard the voice of beauty
If such could be described
Unprepared and unexpected
My senses came alive

Though I tried hard to ignore them
They always had this knack
The more that I resisted
The stronger they came back
Quite frankly though, I liked it
Excitement reigned anew
And ever since that moment
My sky's always been blue

Just another female

Just another female
, complain and wail
Fake from bottom to head
Talk only and never hears what is said
For her ears are for rings
And mind full of dead things
Can't use brain nor ponder
To see someone think is a wonder
A woman of no category
An average symbol of female derogatory
Clean, shine and glamour
With terminal tumor
Just a dressed corpse and manicured
Can't be healed nor cured

Premium MemberUnsent Letters

Just like George Jones when
He Stopped Loving Her,
death, the only thing that could occur
To enact what only this loss could secure
(Killing the love he had for her)

I've counted and underlined in red
each time an “I love you” was said

Until the pages, written in blue ink
Resembled nothing more I think

Than a passionate patriotic prose
Red white and blue superimposed

Over words of love and promises not kept
Sprinkled liberally with the tears I've wept

For you were not nearly as noble as
That great country singer gentleman
For whom only his untimely death can
Erase his love and promises.

All it took for you, Great Lout,
Was a younger face and lips that pout
They always say that sin will out
One who for others don't care about
And the keeping of your word you flout

So although now I know the truth
I act more like George than I care to do
How I wish that I could forget you too
For all these letters I won't send to you
Are filled with my love in red white and blue.

Premium MemberThose Blue Eyes

If only your blue eyes can be mine
To gaze into, in sunlit rooms.

Look for my Sun

As the time goes by ....
My heart yearns for her....
Sitting on my couch, tea in hand , thoughts slipping from my mind....
Your disappearance upsets me every day and night....
Come back dear soon....
Come back to your admirer...
Come back to your lover....
As now I cannot no longer ...
Look up for my Sun.....

Premium MemberBlue Face Betty

It’s been so n i c e - to hear you now
It’s been awhile
Feeling like a l o s e r n o w
Over my heart I f a l l
Like a sucker punch
It hurts so s w e l l

T e l l m e
T a l k to m e
Tell me how you really feel - about m e
T a l k to m e
Come on - talk to me
Blue face Betty

It’s been months
It’s been dizzying
Life without you
Seems like the worlds empty
With empty w o r d s
Without any empathy
It’s cold in my heart

T e l l m e
T a l k to m e
Tell me how you really feel - about m e
T a l k to m e
Come on - talk to me
Blue face Betty

Hit on me
Turn your lips on me
Take me out with a tease
Come on Betty
Come on Betty
Come on Betty
Come on Betty
Come on Betty
T a l k to m e

Premium Memberwaiting for the girl with the blue eyes

Lee had dreamed of a woman with blue eyes.
It is only a dream! Everyone told him.
I think she is my soul mate, he said.
I am holding out for her.

He held out and held out and held out.
The only sibling in his family who was not married.
His family was hounding him now.
They wanted him married and happy.

I have not found her! He persisted.
Finally they wore him down.
He dated a girl with brown eyes.
At their wedding dance he saw the girl with the blue eyes.

Premium MemberBonnie Blue

Oh formous bonnie bluebird
I love you more each day
I dream of us together
And want to steal away
To private, hidden, quiet coves
Where we can spend the time
Getting to know each other more
And living out these rhymes

Oh sweetheart bonnie bluebird
To you on bended knee
Will take your wing into my hand
And on it place a ring
Beneath a trellis of roses
While vanilla clouds float by
With an amethyst hued sunset
Under a ruby twilight sky

Oh precious bonnie bluebird
We don't know what's in store
But I'll be in your shadow
I'll wait 'cause I want more
And yes, I'll wait for you my love
For as long as I'm alive
And hope someday you'll fly to me
Before I'm 1-0-5

The Lady Who Cleans the Dead

The lady who cleans the dead

The woman who washed and dressed the body of my wife´s brother came for a visit and to get paid for her service
I noticed the nails of her hands were manicured pink
did she in her daily work touch more dead bodies daily than live ones? She looked beach clean, bet she used gloves when eating lunch.
I made ill at ease, studying her like she was an alien, deeply tanned, this was understandable spending so much time in a cellar full of corpses.
Why had she chosen this profession, perhaps she had studied to be a doctor and failed.
A new idea struck me if I suddenly died, she would clean me, put lipstick on my dead lips, and rouge on my cheeks for a cheap laugh
I smiled broadly at her and nodded to what she said showing my best side, you never know.

Premium MemberSpotlight On Blue

A darkened stage
Excitement rise
Soon to appear
Queen with blue eyes
There you are
Bright spotlight
Someday may I
Be your knight?

On pillows walk
When you're with me
No need for talk
All things can be
I'd do my best
To you provide
And for the rest
My love applied

And with that love
I'd shower you
With all I am
And all I do
And maybe you
Might love me too
With all you are
And all you do
