Premium Memberdejected scarecrow

Dejected scarecrow sat on a prickly bale of hay.
Nothing went right he said on this horrible day.
A pumpkin nearby tried to cheer him up a bit.
But dejected scarecrow was determined to throw a fit.

Let’s look at the positives, a small voice said.
It was from the bowels of a grave of one long-dead.
The scarecrow got scared and run screaming away.
I hate to say it, but for the pumpkin it was now a better day.

Dejected like a wilted drooping Rose losing fragrance and beauty, am I still going to accept defeat!

There once was an empty life

Then, an interruption,

And the life was full again.

But there is no "happy ever after",

The Interruption

Simply went away,

And the empty life continued.

THE END

Dejected Night

Loveless heart in dark
Waiting for such a love touch
At last teardrops crash

The body hanged on
Suicide note on the floor
Lizard just seer

Premium MemberLosing

Our hearts like hammers tripping
into silent sunbeams slipping,
we moved, my team and I,
into time’s immortal gripping.
mourning the quiet passing throngs,
wafting in the wordless void.
No inspiration given,
wrapped within precision’s ribbon,
leaving paper cuts so thin
to bleed our daily loss out loud.
homeward bound, so slowly,
with our heads reluctant bowed.

Life Is Unpredictable

Today,We may be close
to our loved ones
But tomorrow,
We might turn up
being complete strangers.
Before,You would have
never ceased to put a smile on
somebody's face
But now,You could be
the only reason for their
firmness and gloominess.
Hence,frankly speaking..
"Memories have no Death"
Whenever you feel dejected
just remember
few joyful hearts...
You'll surely feel glad.!!

The Homeless

I watch as you sit alone- dejected
many chose not to see you, nor
to look upon your tear stained face.

We do not know your story-lest we judge
or from where you came-it matters not
although you are a stranger to me-seeking shelter from the rain.

I could help to ease your suffering- show a friendly face,
or I like so many could walk on by, but I think-
'there by the grace of God go I'

Premium MemberThe Hopelessness of the Homeless

He is so angry; school is the least of his worries.
Sad are his days; he is nine.
Grandma wants to kick them out; step grandpa hates them
aunt hates them
everyone hates them
they have lived in and out of shelters.
been kicked out - he and his three year old sister
along with their mother who hates a lot of people.

he is on his mother's side.
he gets angry if things are pointed out too succinctly.
I believe my mother, he says when asked if he heard grandma
say she is kicking them out.
defensive, angry, a concrete wall,
built to keep him safe,
to keep his sadness inside

the floodgates are not about to open.
he makes sure of that.
never let them see your tears, his mother says.
I may have to live under bridges.
but you cannot come.

you will have to live with your dad.
you will be homeless, and he will not want you,
but it would not be fair to take you with me.
i will be so homeless.

hopeless, homeless, rejected, dejected,
his anger comes out at school, classmates loathe him.
not realizing what he has to do to cover up his sadness.

Dejected Minds

Dark clouds cloak my mind
chilled winds caress bare branches
immobile as cable cords

Dejected minds- Crack
at perilous mothers- Screams
then crying- she threatens peace

Dejected -Chopped III

Keys of a typewriter no more sound,
Awake till late on work she wasn't around,

Full of cigerrette butts is the ashtray,
Work stress and I have gone astray,

Some butts with lipstick red so bright,
A single earring she might have dropped last night,

An old air ticket signals fury of my spouse,
There's no sign of her presence in the house,

I am left dejected sitting on the ground,
Tender signs of loneliness loudly sound !
