<P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill, but I would like to go on the record as saying we should be constructive in our approaches to each other. Yes, we're all adults here, but we're also human, we should be courteous and respectful of everyone here regardless of the subject of their writing.</P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;I know it sounds like I'm ranting, but if we would just offer positive criticism on how a poem is written, e.g. rhyme, flow, metre, clarity, etc., rather than offer nasty opinions on the subject and state whether or not a poem should be written at all, would make this more of the poetry place that we're all working towards. Our ambition, our goal, is to write, possibly vent or even escape. Some poetry is rejoicing and so much is symbolic and subjective. Most of all, poetry is very personal and passionate, therefore subject matter should never be questioned or a poem should never be ridiculed.</P> <P>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;With that being said, please, before you write something that can never be taken back (remember, once it's out there, it's out there) think, then write or just do not say anything at all if you have the inability to express yourself in a positive encouraging way.</P> <P>Thank you.</P>

It's one of the top four that I mentioned. Consider the source and act like a duck. Let it flow off your back. I agree with Shar...we ignore the rude ones...they are immature, and just getting their kicks by ridicule. How sad they are! Fortunately, they are the exception. :) Thank you for airing the problem.
