****DARREN WATSON UPDATE - UPDATED 25TH OCTOBER******

Great news:-)

Yesterday I finally had an update from Darren's sister - he is returning to the UK on Saturday - he is still recuperating but hopefully will be back with us soon.

We are asked not to tire him out as he is still recovering and needs to rest and regain his strenght.

This is the first time I've had the heart to log onto our joint account in many many weeks - I have found it very tough emotionally as I have missed my 'poetry soul mate' so so much.

**25th Ocotber** Darren has been in touch with me - yipeeeee, but he has been having issues with internet connection - I am hoping it won't be long before we are back and Jadazzling together again.

Such great news, Jan. So good to hear he is on the mend. I hope he takes it easy and slowly returns to Soup. Contests are just for fun, and can wait! His health is more important. I know what it is to have met those special poets.. I adore Nette, here, and though I've been distant, I feel she and I are connected spiritually. I call her SOUL SIS. I also have another sister poet, Debbie. I am very blessed to have made these friends.

Hugs back. Please, do keep us in the know, when you can. Soup is a family. I am so relieved one of our own is recovering. As I have said to Team Poetry Soup, as time goes by Soupers will pass away. We have lost some, recently. Hard. Praise be not another! Hugs.

Cyndi I cried many happy tears on Sunday when I got my first mail from Darren in over 3 months - his return to good health is of the utmost importance - the contest will be judged whenever - our priority must be to allow him time to recuperate and get well. I describe him as my poetry soup soul mate and I am just overjoyed he is back in my life again. Thanks for your support Cindi - your comment made my day:-) Hugs jan xxx

I had my first e mail from him today Seren I can't stop smiling! He still has a way to go but the most important thing he is back home now with family and friends to support him:-) Hugs jan xxx

I'm overjoyed Charmaine its been a very worrying time but as long as he is recovering and back with us sometime that is the most important thing:-) he will be missing us as much as we are missing him! hugs jan xx

In every letter I have sent I have asked Darren not to contact me until he is ready and that still stands - his return to health is the most important thing. Can't believe how much I have missed him and what his friendship means to me - that is the beauty of the soup community and we need your account back and running too:-) Hugs jan xx

So happy for you and for US and all of Soup. He is a very fun writer. I loved reading his poems when he was active here. And this means you can finally finish the contest you had going on. Yayyyyy!

Eileen you were the one who encouraged us to write together! I can't tell you how much I miss him being part of my life - his friendship and support mean the world to me. I know he is missing us all too and will be itching to get back to see us all:-) Hugs jan xxx

Thanks Harry its been a very worrying time I've had no direct contact with Darren since mid July but his family have passed on my letters and cards. Will be so relieved when he is finally back with us but it will take time. Hugs jan xxx
