I guess I have given you
a drawer full of hearts over
the years. As well as a
bucket of tears. Love
seldom runs easy.
I guess I have settled you
in many secure ways,
while also leaving your heart
quite queasy. Love is
not always dove-y please-y.
Yet, know this! Between
shouts and kisses, between
pouts and blisses, there has
never been another. You are
my only Valentine, in this
world, and doubtful anyone else
would long put up with either
of us, while here or even in some
elevated other.

Updated Valentine
Well, 6 months quickly pass;
since my level headed choice --
the apartment has been tidy
and the dog now uses the grass --
If not for that spilled olive oil
that put me in a cast, your company
has been superb, though our food
is best all Fast. With or without fries my
dear?
Al Capone
did some things I can't condone,
which is just to say -
no massacres on Valentines Day.
by Wayne Wysocki
If you were my Valentine,
My world would be so sweet,
And if I kissed your lips divine,
My heart would skip a beat,
So tell me, dearest darling, do
That I'm the only one for you,
For if your heart were truly mine,
My world would be complete.
With dawn engulfing the morning, bringing light
When the birds wake the day with sounds of greetings.
When the sparkle of the stars disappear from the early sky's.
So is my love for you lighting, inviting always there and never fading
Just the thought of you gives me hope and joy
Knowing that I am not alone in my journey of life and love.
With the gifts of life given freely to us
Just as the ocean cooles me from the burning sun.
So to is your embrace wrapped around me when life burns with confusion.
Not just When your are around, even when being separated.
So is my love for you lighting, inviting always there and never fading
Just the thought of you gives me hope and joy
Knowing that I am not alone in my journey of life and love.
With the beauty of the majestic mountainside
And the aromas of the Lilly's, covering the plains
So to is our love engulfed with sweet smelling, beautiful memories of our encounter's throughout our journeys of life
So is my love for you lighting, inviting always there and never fading
Just the thought of you gives me hope and joy
Knowing that I am not alone in my journey of life and love.
One cannot deny the Light
Of love
One can hide, reject
Forbid entrance thus presence
Can give love a random face and
Common form
But in splendid reality
Love is specific to each of us
Irreplaceable – no priceless jewel
Approaching such heart-felt
Effulgence – no finely crafted
Instrument with a more enchanting
Voice…
And when tenderly expressed, I love you,
Every fond star and partnered Heaven
Align, and are blissfully immortalized --
Love is creation at its eternal best
Sincerely manifest~ angels sing and God
Rejoices!
Change what feels sad,
heal the wound that bled;
show your passion for Valentine:
shout it with endless pride,
declare the sweet promise;
be be all mine, regardless
of risk and price.
Roses come in many colors,
I choose the ones I desire,
the ones that are
as red as these lips..
seeking your kisses,
so ready to set me on fire.
A true Valentine defends love
with all his mind and heart;
nobody stands in his way,
he won't hesitate to pray,
protecting what
seems fair and right:
never esembling
a dry, useless clove.
Believe me, whoever stands
for love is blessed by God
in some unexpected ways,
he has felt the painful rod
he bever lies, he never cheats:
his battles are won withouth fears.
Show your passion for Valentine,
make me feel the bliss,
nothing can be taken for granted;
every minute shouldn't be wasted.
Hail, fair Aphrodite, foam-born, star of the sea-ways,
Mist-veiled sovereign, mover of mortal bosoms,
Bearer of sighs and bloom of the secret garden—
Hear now my praising.
Thou who mak’st kings bow low and shepherds mighty,
Thou whose glance sets the coldest spirit burning,
Soft is thy yoke, yet none may flee thy binding—
Sweet is thy governance.
Dost thou recall our hours in hush and amber,
When breath met breath and time itself stood hearkening?
Say, if thou wilt, in dream or sign or whisper—
I yet remember.
Take thou this vow, by rose and hidden ember:
No tongue shall loose the tale we twain have carried;
Close kept, sealed fast, our chronicle unspoken—
Veiled be our history.
We twist between songs
Footwork elegant and sharp
Roses in your hand
Dear February they say you are all about love but
you make my head swim , letting my own words make a martyr of me
Im terrified of how they sound rolling off my tounge , so I decide not to speak
I dont know how to be loud enough to be loved
I gave you flowers and you return my gifts with madness
while the devil makes a fool of me hiding under my blankets , painting my face red with shame
He knows I'll never make peace with my own desires , but I'll pretend to be brave anyway
I should prefer the truth to emptiness
I dont know how to explain this to you
the reflection that feels nothing
I turn off the light and close the door
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY TO MY QUEEN, BARBARA
(She Is 82, And On The 15th, I’ll Be 84)
Everyday,
From the beginning,
Has been Valentine’s Day
For you and me:-
And the old axiom is true:
The more things change,
The more they seem
To remain the same:-
Yes,
Over the years,
Much in our lives
Have changed;
Yet, the eternal love
That I have for you,
Has remained the same!
Hey, what else can I say?
And this is always how
It is going to be
Between you and me:-
Our onderful supreme love
Is a oneness—gracious one—
Eternally pour out in onement
From the Cistern of love above:-
For us, one and one, will always be two,
That is one, wherever we may be:
Thus, is the love of the oneness of you and me:-
“Valentine’s weekend,” is performing well in 2026’s attention economy.
I know I like the sound of it - it sounds industrial-strength hopeful.
Romance has always been packed with impulse and desire,
but today’s lovers aren’t just flirting with emotional destruction,
they’re literally kissing it on the lips - those digital images are hard to erase.
Surfing the lonely Internet,
in that boiling AI firmament,
are the ashes of emotional content.
Luckily, on that ever vibrating web,
every now-meaningless moment,
competes with the last.
Me, I have a straight-up brag this valentines weekend.
I have a guy who, out of nowhere on a Sunday,
texts me his undying love.
Winner winner frozen dinner!!

A song for this:
I Fall In Love Too Easily by Chet Baker
BIRDS OF A FEATHER by Billie Eilish
The heart beats every moment
of every living day. It sings
if you listen and its rhythm
shapes your life even in
the quietest of moments.
It is subject of song
the poet’s longing
desire and dream.
It knows you better than
you know yourself.
It flutters in love
a butterfly in blue skies
yet longs to linger
with the object of affection.
It tells its story to all
who will listen.
It walks crowded sidewalk
and in the next moment
stands on rooftops and shouts.
Yet it’s also shoulder-to-shoulder
with a partner in a quiet room.
It desires to be more
than a fist-sized mass
of muscle and tissue.
Many times it is bro ken.
Many times it learns
to live again.

first the peachy concoction
bites of wrapped shrimp
the sizzling fajitas
O the stuffed churros
the sweetest, dusted with fine powders
of cinnamon sugar and dipped
in caramel, chocolate and whipped cream
now this was a scrumptious date
the anniversary of the day we met
