Premium MemberValentine's Indigent Heart

I unburied my heart and cried.
Poor little thing Poor little fool
indigent in there, no answer.
no one came back for me
Everyone blue light mesmerized
faces minor February moons
Mid-air, last fare, au contrair—
Cushion collectors, made in China
Obsolete foetus, Pushkin pushers
Amulet of a Talisman, not fair
Eloquency uttered, sputtered, natural lying
Platinum kissogram
O sweet sad parting, old mar
anguishing languishing farewell my friend
Wheelbarrow of borrowed clouds
check the sundial for Saturn’s moon
terrestrial ball wedding leaves
Clocks and gowns, frowning clowns

undo death —
for the love of you
unto death if not

Premium MemberValentine List

Of love's joy, and
fond mystery, too much
can never be said,

nor tenderly written
poetically read~

lavishly spread!

Let poet's all proclaim
in unison, another day
of oceans, teeming with
chocolate hearts --

rose scent Everest' tall

a mass of gems gifted
that would even dwarf
those guarded towers
of the bejeweled royal! --

Throw kisses plenty, enough to melt and heat
a world of frigid Arctic seas. Let all, who have
not yet, add their hopeful names
to Valentines tenderly evolving bliss-list --

Let even, us, well seasoned participants celebrate
again with the young on this blessed, sacred eve --

again my love

imprint our names, sealed
forever~ with True Love's, indelible kiss.

Premium MemberValentine's Day After

The day after Valentine's Day, for most may be sublime, as a day achieved a measure of some success, while others gave it no light of day most likely from lacking a partner and therefore gave it the right of way so as not to upend somebody's prospects. They would make some sort of remedy to either fill the void, or most respectfully, start out afresh and find somebody special that'll be the impetus for next year's scheduled soiree. Yet there is that one element that would toss the monkeywrench into the woodwork, one that seldom heard in open conversation, and that would be, infidelity. So Valentine's Day, seems also to be in reserve for even those who do not deliver flowers with the unsigned card at the front of the door.

Love is simple ...
A thing anyone can do,
Love happens only
When a heart is true

We already know
How to love another,
Because of a friend
Or a father or a mother

Trying much too much
... Is not love's way,
Let it come naturally
And love will stay

Hold it in your heart
Let things grow awhile,
Keep love simple with
A hug and a smile.

Premium MemberAfraid To Ask

She was not pure gold, but a lovely marigold variety of yellow
She had a sweet fish friend, but a rather slow-moving fellow
She wanted to go steady, and wondered when to make the move
She saw their life together in the corals as something smooth

He was a catfish, did not know she thought that much of him
Had a fierce look, but was a gentle giant, this catfish, Jim.
Wanted to go steady, but quietly disappeared, swimming away.
Afraid to ask the big question on Valentine’s Day.

Premium MemberCaught In the Act

I bought her a bunch of blue violets and roses of red
Pure romantic thoughts were going around in my head.

Thought I'd surprise her and went round to her back door
There she was with my best friend, sprawled out on the floor.

She saw me and screamed saying "it's not what you think"
I lost one of my gold earrings under the kitchen sink.

Her face was red as beetroot, my former friend too
We exchanged insults and the air then turned blue.

Well I'm certainly no idiot and I have travelled worldwide
And it opened my eyes that she was taking me for a ride.

But there's one thing for sure, it killed my romantic mood
And you don't search for an earring when you're in the nude.

Premium MemberMy Valentine

Who’s the one who comforts me
When life doth take it’s toll
Who is the one who holds me tight
And makes my spirit whole

Who’s the one who gifts her smile
And blesses me every day
Who knows my every weakness
and loves me anyway

Who’s the one who’s alway there
through every season of our life
Who is by far God’s greatest gift
Whom I’m blessed to call my wife

Who’s my best friend and Confidant
My lover throughout the years
The keeper of our laughter
Who’s also generous with her tears

The answer is my Valentine
With whom no one can compare
The centre of my universe
My Sweetie oh so rare

Happy Valentines 2021 my Love.

The Vinaceous Valentine 1956 As Remembered: by Tom 2-24-2020 Nothing hurt more than perfidy of this friend, I can still hear her words, “you are so uncouth.” but it didn’t take too long for my heart to mend, what rendered the pain, was that it wasn’t the truth. How refined could either be at age sixteen not old enough to avoid a tongue twister. Though I still thought of her as my beauty queen I proceeded to see her younger sister.

With a Lovely card on Valentine’s Day,

And me so very lonely”,
Marry dad and be with me everyday!

Elementary Valentine
By Franklin Price
2/14/2019

Do you recall this holiday
In the early years of class?
Everyone brought Valentines
Around the room to pass

It was a very special day
All were your Valentine
Taking home as many as you brought
Had you feeling more than fine

This is my Valentine to you
A friend in life's long class
Share it with some other friends
Whether Elephant or Ass

Politics could take a lesson
From those days that made us smile
When all of us were equal
And passed the cards across the aisle

Premium MemberOasis of Love

Hearts intertwined forever
An oasis of pure love
Priceless moments shared
Precious memories lived
Youth fleeting by the second

Valued soul to be cherished
Always my best friend
Lover and soul mate
Each second with you is bliss
Never will I depart from your embrace
Truest mate, I love thee
I adore you with my soul
Now and forever more
Each day with you is a gift, you are
Special to me my sweet darling,I

Dedicate this day and my life to you
As I did on the day we shared our vows
Youth is fleeting but my love for you is the same
