Premium MemberMy funny valentine

You say all the right things
and strum all the right strings
but actions never follow suit.
If you insist on being cute
I’ll gladly help you spread your wings.

Premium MemberValentine Bet

I gave the dice of love a toss
I betted upon a true loss
I let my heart be my cold boss
that beat with a scar.
I even went undercover
to see if I could discover
if you would be a scam lover
and yet here we are.

Premium MemberMy heart works eight times three

My heart works eight times three; in search of passions' prosperity
Hidden in darkness, I crave the simplest of the lights' normality
My mind won't stray; embracing the loudest of rhymes melody
Words ignite and loves' high octane results' burn down all reality
Come enjoy the warmth you can feel; next to this fire with me

Your avatar’s cute here online
I said, so to make her all mine.
So we met at some place;
I saw her true face
she certainly was not divine!

Premium MemberValentine Greeting Card

I love you in the morning
I love you in the night
I love you without scorning
I love you with my might

Save your kisses just for me
Save your caresses too
Save your song of what will be
Save your words of love so true

Say you’ll be my Valentine
Say you’ll be mine forever
Say you’ll love me for all time
Say you’ll leave me never

Premium MemberBitter Valentine

‘I like you.’
‘Well, that sounds suspicious.’

‘You’re beautiful.’
‘Shut up, I saw the mirror this morning.’

‘No seriously...’
‘Yeah? Me too, ‘

‘You’ve got a huge heart.’
‘Yeah I know , I’m horrible.’

‘I swear I’m being sincere. ‘
‘Go to Hell.’

‘Oh Bitter Valentine,
I’ll make you believe in love.’

‘Well, that sounds suspicious..’

Premium MemberHappy Valentines Day To Me

Happy Valentines Day, Happy Valentines Day,
Happy Valentines Day to me.
Ain't got no boyfriend,
'Cause I'm seventy-three.

Won't get no card,
Nor a box full of candy,
So I'll buy it myself,
And I think that's just dandy.

Can't go out to eat,
Or do anything fun,
'Cause Covid-19,
Kicked that in the bum.

Won't get no phone calls,
Or gifts filled with lovin',
I did get one call,
From my favorite cousin.

Don't get me wrong,
I'm still cute as a button,
But at this stage of the game,
The sex appeal's nuthin'.

With a Lovely card on Valentine’s Day,
It said, “you are so lovely,
And me so very lonely”,

Premium MemberValentine's Day Cynic

Love I see it piled sky high on the supermarket shelves Perfect pink packaging containing calorific chocolates and cute cuddly toys, seductive scents or sexy silk underwear Slushy Valentine’s cards with ridiculous romantic rhymes Stick on a cardboard heart and it's not just the vendor who is smiling! A sea of red roses that stretches as far as the eye can see Notice how the prices inflate higher than a helium 'I Love You' balloon Yet on 15th February everything will be half price Is this the price of true love or am I just a cynic? Premium MemberMy Cynical Valentine

The ‘price of love’ rises just for one day of the year Stick a cardboard heart on some merchandise - the price quadruples! Every February we see ‘love’ lying in neat rows on the shop shelves Cards, chocolates, flowers, perfume and cute fluffy toys A sea of red roses that stretches as far as the eye can see For some reason these roses are never Buy One Get One Free!!!! The prices they charge rise quicker than a red heart shaped helium balloon Yet on 15th February everything will be half price Is this the price of true love or am I just a cynic? I’ve never had a Valentine from my husband, or him from me We don’t need to prove our love on just one day of the year Jan Allison 3rd February 2016
