Oh what a Valentine
God would have to make!
bigger than a loving home
a classroom
a cathedral
a universe perhaps --
let us help by each doing
one's humble diligent part
Fall on the mushy sword!
choose one heart at least
to start
choose One Love to fondly begin
think of prince and princess
returned slipper ball --
or let One Love choose you
and enjoy the one-day, tender squall~
even if only on this open-heart, special
occasion... (Let the moths fly out!)
(Let the fever of love be your
furious~ delirious, physician-prescribed
psychotic bout!)
Make that manic shout!
Email, send a card, make
that precious intimate call!
(poems for extra points)
Be a Valentine~All!!!
What a wonderful coincidence
I wanted to share with you if I may,
Pressed my code needed for validation,
And three ***’s came up yippee,
Not only for me,
So, sending everyone kisses galore,
It’s still Valentine’s Day and moving,
Towards an evening of romance,
Who is your secret love you adore,
Your betrothed or your partner,
Your love across the seas,
Your wife or your husband, your girlfriend,
your boyfriend,
Whoever it is, hope you have the time
Of your life, remember everyone gets
Three ***’s kisses [more.]
Jimmy wanted shut of his girlfriend Joan
Because all she did every day was moan
She was longing for some bling
A bright gold engagement ring
But he ditched her with a' ring' to her phone.

As Remembered: by Tom

Nothing hurt more than perfidy of this friend,
I can still hear her words, “you are so uncouth.”
but it didn’t take too long for my heart to mend,
what rendered the pain, was that it wasn’t the truth.
How refined could either be at age sixteen
not old enough to avoid a tongue twister.
Though I still thought of her as my beauty queen
I proceeded to see her younger sister.
And so it begins ...
The sad sad story
of why I’m lying in a hospital bed
with my right leg in traction
Valentine’s Day arrives
My girlfriend moans about her weight
So I didn’t buy any candy
It was just a small oversight!
In the evening I planned to propose -
Being environmentally friendly
I gave her a plastic rose
Big mistake!
When I got down on one knee
I presented her with
a ‘placeholder’ ring from the dime store
this was a HUGE error of judgement ...
With piercing stiletto heels
she kicked my knee from under me
I’d no chance to explain
I wanted US both to choose
her real diamond engagement ring!
And so it begins ... Poetry Contest

Nervous, anxious, praying
my love I express.
Girlfriend blubbers saying
I’ll marry you - yes!
Parents very happy
we are getting wed,
Bridegroom joyful chappie
banns need to be read!
Joyful girlfriend smiling,
seals love with a kiss
Planning wedding styling
no longer a ‘miss’!
Booking summer wedding,
bridesmaid will wear blue,
blissful marriage heading
darling I love you!

Promises of passion,
my urgings unspoken,
a glamorous gossamer garb.
Sexy, sultry, shameless,
I'm luxurious lace:
enticing and ethereal.

Steve was hoping that on Valentine's Day
That he’d be lucky and he’d get a lay
He thought very hard
And purchased a card...
‘In loving memory’ it did say!
His girlfriend hit him over the head
She ordered him - get out of the bed!
When she read the sad verse
Her anger got much worse
Silly Steve now wished that he was dead!
