Contest Description

What to Submit?

Please submit a poem any theme you want starting with "I smiled when" using the rhyme scheme (ABAB, CCDD, EFGH, II) This is a form I created. Also in the last "stanza" NOT the couplet. You must re-arrange the words in lines AB & AB in the first stanza. *See my example in my latest poem "Ninety-Nine Years" In addition, you can only use (8) syllables in each line, no more or less. I know this is not the traditional sonnet but I like to be creative as you know. You can choose any title you desire but please put a CT at the end so that I don't accidentally read it.

PS: To all my friends, I hope you are all doing well. I have not been able to get back into the Soup for a while because of some personnal issues and some computer problems (lol). Sorry I've been unable to read your magnificient poetry...looking forward to reading it again. All the best, Charlie
