You Return Anew-Ct
I smiled when you got cross with me
From my room you had whipped away
I knew your calm face I’d soon see
I didn’t trail you on your own way.
In journey on contours of life
Crossed garden paths and tracks of strife
Lost closeness in brief times gloomy
Found ourselves afresh, you and me.
You got cross with me, from my room
You had whipped away, I smiled when
You on your own way, I didn’t trail
Your calm face I’d soon see, I knew.
That was how I wished to see you
Return to me always anew.
