Sweet Night Songs-Ct

I smiled when beguiled by glowing inside an orb of golden light From heaven, music seemed to flow Sweet ambrosial songs in the night Then, there sparked a magical flare that formed a wreath upon my hair I danced as stardust fell from high and Angels chanted in the sky When in the night, ambrosial songs seemed to flow; music from heaven, I smiled, beguiled by sweet golden light, glowing inside of an orb. My heart beat like a timpani Played in celestial symphony September 9, 2020 Charonnet Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Charlie Messina

Hi Jenna, this was definitely one of my fav's written in my contest (beautifully written) It's prob my fault...and I'm sure it is (lol) for not explaining the rules for my contest well enough. But unfortunately, your last stanza was off a little with the wording (But I love how you mixed them up differently than the way I did mine). Anyway, thanks for entering my contest and Congratulations on your placement. Hugs always...Charlie

The heart beats wildly in the magical melody of the night, bathed in the glow of the moon...such beautiful imagery, Jenna. Best of luck in the contest. Hugs, John

Good morning, John. Thank you. I had to work on the 3rd verse because the contest requirement was to use the same words used in the first verse, but rearranged.

The musical and celestial references are interwoven so delicately, Jenna. This is mystical, magical, and dreamy. I like the line "Sweet ambrosial songs in the night" and love the concluding couplet. Gorgeous.
